The
ss
Uganda
was
built
in
1952
in
Glasgow,
Scotland.
The
ship
originally
sailed
a
regular
service
between
London
and
East-Africa.
When
the
traffic
on
the
line
declined
the
Uganda
was
converted
to
an
educational
cruise
ship
with
accommodation
for
920
passengers.
In
1986
the
ship
was
sold
and
rechristened
Triton.
Eventually
the
ship
was
scrapped in 1992 in Taiwan.
This ship was berthed in Antwerp on 4 & 5 September 1979.
